Jonathan Sterling is Senior Digital Marketing Manager and designated contact for fractional CMO services at Foxtown Marketing, where he helps fast-growing businesses sharpen their marketing, build real momentum, and make smarter moves with their budgets. Before joining Foxtown, he led marketing efforts at The Lawyers’ Marketer, a top agency specializing in law firm growth. He knows how to balance creativity with a serious focus on the ROI and attention to detail that law firms require.
These days, toddler life keeps him busier than any marketing campaign ever could, but he wouldn’t trade it for the world (or even for an extra hour of sleep). Jonathan’s a big fan of side projects, an occasional angel investor, and a guy who genuinely loves rolling up his sleeves and helping businesses break through plateaus.
He especially loves his work as a fractional CMO, because it lets him dive deep with a handful of companies and become part of the team without having to sit through endless “this could have been an email” meetings.
One of Jonathan’s greatest hits was getting a client featured on a Times Square billboard for a new product launch. The client had a limited budget, so it took a little finesse. In the end, the client was very happy with the results and was standing in Times Square to take a photo when the billboard went live. That was a glorious day for ego-based marketing that wasn’t expected to drive any real results other than impressing the clients’ friends and family.
When he’s not chasing new growth opportunities (or a runaway toddler), you’ll find him tinkering with side projects, reading about startups, fishing for ocean monsters or slipping a corny dad joke into conversations.
Jonathan also has an odd fascination with personal finance and teaches personal finance seminars at local high schools from time to time (pro bono). If you’d like to speak with him about teaching at your school, get in touch here.
